Emerge Fashion Show & Launch Party

Recently, I was invited by Seneca & Spruce, an online magazine and fashion retailer, to attend their very first ever Emerge Fashion Show. They're a company based right here in Seattle, with the beautiful intent of promoting local fashion designers and assisting the sales of their collections. This would also be the first time I was able to help with the show and go backstage.  With that said, I'm very excited to share this experience with you guys and what I think about the designers featured in the show. 

BACKSTAGE & BEFORE THE SHOW

The show took place in the jaw dropping David Barton Gym, which at first glance at it's modern glamour, you would never believe was a gym. In fact, I think it should double as a dance club. It has this amazing wood entrance, that's perfect for a runway. 

Well before showtime, backstage was teeming with models getting their hair and makeup done. I spent this time gathering pictures and helping them assemble their swag boxes. There was also a nail art station and makeup station for guests to get pampered. 

During this time also got to catch up with fellow Seattle fashion blogger, Gergana Ivanova, from Fashion is My Forte. I honestly love this girl! We had such a blast with each other for the rest of the night. I see a new BFF in the making here! :)

THE SHOW

featured 10 local designers: Carole McClellan, Sarsen, Tom Ordonio, Oddinary Garments, Klad Apparel, Kate S. Mensah, Mia Fioravanti, Jaleh Clothing, Masha Osoianu, and Dawson & Deveraux. 

Here are some of my favorite looks from the favorite designers of the night.

ODDINARY GARMENTS

While these pieces may not be as "high end" as you would say, as the other collections to follow, something about me just appreciates unique street wear for men. It also didn't hurt that the male models were on point for the looks. 

MASHA OSOIANU

I've never seen pieces that had draped string like that, but I really enjoyed how the pieces moved on the models. Plus the color choices were simple, but hinted towards metallic glamour. Great for this coming Fall.

DAWSON & DEVERAUX

My favorite collection of the night, was Dawson & Deveraux. Rarely do I come across pieces that actually make me stop taking pictures for a second, and just say, "wow."  Most of the pieces did, but this dress had me at the edge of my seat!
